What does a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Do?

Child and RBT during one on one therapy session

“RBT” stands for Registered Behavior Technician. RBTs work directly with clients, implementing ABA therapy programs for children diagnosed with Autism. RBTs are the lifeline to families and children with autism.

All RBTs are overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) that develops the programs you will be running with your clients. They will work hand in hand with you to gain mastery knowledge of treatment methodologies

At Westside, RBTs conduct predominantly play-based therapy and combine meaningful experiences with fun activities for the kids. RBTs record data on the children’s progress that the BCBAs use to guide their future work.
