Sensory-Friendly & Inclusive Events Happening Mid-September Through Mid-October 2026

Children Activities, Parent Education

As summer fades into fall, Chicagoland offers a steady lineup of sensory-friendly and inclusive opportunities to close out September and welcome October. Whether you are looking for a quiet dinosaur park morning, a relaxed skate session, a sensory-friendly matinee, or an afternoon spent up close with insects, this stretch of the season has something for nearly every family.

We have rounded up the sensory-friendly and inclusive events happening across Chicagoland this September and October. As always, we recommend reviewing each event’s page before attending, as details and accommodations can vary. And if you have been to any of these, or have a recommendation we missed, we would love to hear from you.
