Camp Westside
Ages: 4-14
Day and Time: August 10-14, 8am-12pm
Led by: Certified Occupational Therapists
Focus: Social Skills, Gross Motor Skill, Fine Motor Skills, Language and Communication Skills
Description: Camp Westside Way is a week-long day camp designed for children with special needs and their peers to enjoy summer camp in a safe, inclusive environment. Camp activities will be individually tailored to your child’s specific needs, with small group or one on one supervision as needed. Camp activities will include swimming, tree climbing (repelling), rafting, super slides, camp fire, arts and crafts, music, nature activities, and much more! Although this is not a therapy camp, these activities have huge therapeutic benefits in the areas of gross motor skills, fine motor skills, social skills, speech skills and much more! This is the perfect opportunity to get the kids outside, away from the electronics, and give them one last blast of summer before.
Picky Eaters Picnic
Ages: 3-6
Day and Time: Tuesdays 2pm
Dates: Summer – June 11 – July 23 (skip week of 4th)
Led by: SOS Certified Occupational and Speech Therapists
Focus: Exploration and exposure to new foods in a group setting
Description: This group focuses on helping each child increase their overall food repertoire while decreasing apprehension relating to meal times.
Music and Movement
Ages: 4-7
Day and Time: Tuesdays 1pm
Dates: Summer – June 11 – July 23 (skip week of 4th)
Led by: ABA Registered Behavior Technicians under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts
Focus: Social skills with peers
Description: This group helps each child increase appropriate social behavior amongst peers while working on cooperative play, conversational exchanges, flexibility, emotional regulation, compliance with rules, etc.
Social Detectives
Ages: 4-6 & 7-9
Day and Time: Tuesdays 3pm
Dates: Summer – June 11 – July 23 (skip week of 4th)
Led by: Certified Occupational and Speech Therapists
Focus: Turn-Taking and Social Play
Description: Kids will engage in fun structured play events to promote compliments, sharing, commenting, asking questions and offering help to peers across different situations.
Kindergarten Readiness
Ages: 5-7
Day and Time: Tuesdays 12pm
Dates: Summer – June 11 – July 23 (skip week of 4th)
Led by: Certified Behavioral Therapists
Focus: Skills needed for success in school and in social settings
Description: Therapists will provide a small and safe setting where children feel supported in learning to interact successfully with their peers.
Fall Groups
ABA Social Group
Ages: 7-9 Group, *If your kid is outside these age ranges, please contact the Frankfort office to discuss group appropriateness
Day and Time: Tuesdays 5-6pm OR Thursdays 5-6pm
Dates: Year-round

Focus: Movement and Coordination
Description: Sessions will include activities to promote balance, flexibility and coordination. Music will be incorporated into every session.

Description: This group is intended for kids aged 10-14 years of age. It will be a group that gets together and works on improving overall communication with not only peers but adults. Higher level skills will be targeted in this group.

Description: Skills targeted through obstacle courses, relay races, circle activities, stretches and songs.
Crafty Gal

Description: Girls working together to complete creative crafts and activities, while building friendship skills.
Stop-Drop-Cook

Description: A group problem solving and sequencing steps to cook tasty treats. Cooks will learn skill of mental flexibility through this daily life skill task.
Mealtime Explorers (Feeding Group)

Description: This group will focus on decreasing apprehension during mealtimes by exploring various foods in a playful manner.
Stepping Stones for Super Speech

Description: A social group for children ages 12 months-3 years with a focus on stimulating and expanding early speech and language skills.
